My Daily Day 2

Trying to Save my iMac G5

August 3rd, 2008 Filed under: Random Thoughts, Shopping by d.andorf

Okay it’s been 2 weeks now that my mac is in a coma, i brought it to the apple store and got a free consultation with the apple genius.  They told me basically my hard drive is corrupted, so it will cost about 300 bucks or so to fix it.  Then I decided to take it home, I asked my ex-coworker whether he can save my mac or not.. he said no.. dang it PC people! and then I called another apple sercive place in town, they told me it will cost $75 (min. fee) and then 90 bucks an hour after that (plus the cost of a hard drive).  So I was like.. nah.. I’m smart enough to take care of this matter.

So I bought 640 GB Hard drive for $89 dollars, then I purchased a Mad Dog MegaVault 3.5″ Anodized SATA/IDE Drive Enclosure for $26.97, then to rescue some of my data from my old HD I also purchased Data Rescue software for $26.01 from ebay (retail is $99).  So total cost: $141.98.

HAH! take that man!!! women, we can do what guys can/can’t do!

So I youtubed how to open my imac G5, and took out my drive, placed the drive on my external case and use my old power mac G4 to rescue my data.  I got about 75GB worth of files recovered.  Now I just need to wait for my new HD so I can transfer all that files back to my mac.

Now.. the challenge is to put stuff back together where it belongs.. I’m famous with taking stuff apart but not really in putting stuff back together :D hehehehe.

Attention International Shopper!

Alright, here’s my new gig… are you ready????

website.jpg

So basically this site offers a service for people who do not live in US to shop on the US online store.  Since I’ve been helping some of my friends who wants to shop from US online store, so I decided I will do this for them with a low fee.  I will charge 10% of the total cost, since paypal or google will take out 4.5% out of the transaction.. so basically I will only make 5.5% *booo…* but that’s okay.  I like helping people.

Alright.. spread the words now… people… especially you guys who lives in Europe, Asia, Australia, etc.

xoxo,

carissa mommy

Want to shop at US online store? but the shipping to your country is way to expensive? Or you already too excited, click the checkout button and found out they don’t accept non-US credit cards?! It happens alot! How do I know this? I used to be like you, when I lived back home I tried to purchase a gift for my brother who lives in US. But I couldn’t because most of the website doesn’t accept non-US credit card.

Now, I can help you. Just contact me, let me know what do you want to buy, I will calculate the total price with shipping price to your country. All you need to do is just contact me what do you want to buy, and I will take care the rest.

Maybe you’re not buying something for yourself, maybe this is as a gift for someone who lives in US too. I can take care of it. I even can find the best price for you, so you don’t have to waste your time finding the cheapest price.

Don’t hesitate to contact me. Thanks.

I’m a hot stylish momma… uh-huh.. yea… you hear me… :D LOVE my bag!! thank’s daddy-o.

Talking about NY resolutions… I just spent an extra 250 bucks yesterday at walmart.com!! :( I purchased Baby Video monitor that has night vision, and 2 bed rails for the bed in her room. Since I still sleep with her after the midnight feeding.

*sigh* BUT! I open an online savings acct that will automatically takes my money away every month. So at least I will save some money :D

Juicer

January 10th, 2008 Filed under: Carissa, Random Thoughts, Shopping by d.andorf

Because of Ringga keep on talking about juicer, now I want one :D so Carson got it for me as one of my xmas presents :D.  It was on sale for $49.99 when he bought it, the next day it went up to $99.99 !!! hauhauhau the retail price is $199.99

Hopefully he get it with that price.. it’s awesome! :) I’ll let you know once I get it.

Carissa has been eating solid food, I got this food processor thing from my mother-in-law (thx mom).  It’s been awesome… I made Carissa carrot puree, sweet potatoes (she doesn’t like it), apple puree, and green beans.  So far she likes all of them except sweet potatoes.  Weird.. but she LOVES green beans.. all of those are organic vegetable & fruits.

I think that’s the best thing for her, money can go away but good health & education will stay with her forever.

shopping shopping shopping

November 23rd, 2007 Filed under: Family, Shopping by d.andorf

This morning my mother in law and I went a lil black friday shopping, this was my first black friday shopping and I think it’s not worth it at all.

I ended up need to return something that I bought just because I found a better deal on line. BAH! so like last year I just going to buy everything online. So now while my baby sleeping.. I’m doing my Christmas shopping. I think I got everyone except my father-in-law. *sigh* don’t know what to get for him.

I love online shopping.. they have free shipping these days.

I’m trying so hard to come up with a Christmas wish list.. here you go

- T-shirts that long enough to cover my ‘mama belly’ like.. uhmm.. (Small Size)

- Food processor to make baby food
- Baby food storage

- Baby food recipe book, maybe like this one

- Wool Pea Coat (this one is kinda hard because I need to try it on first) :(

Just for fun.. if you guys win a lottery.. or for Zeze.. you need to buy me this bag

But i think that’s pretty much it… I don’t need anything else.. I have everything that I need and ask for.. awesome family, a healthy, cute, smart, good baby girl, and also a great husband. :)

Ok now.. for Carson:

-nice tee shirts too (what’s up with our family and tees??!!) maybe something like.. (Sz. L)

-as usual white and black socks.. (just get him some cheap one since the sock fairies always steal them)

I think that’s it for now… I’ll let you know if he wants something else.. :D
